ਅਸੀਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਆਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕੇ,ਇਹ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਕਰਨ ,ਜੂਆ ਖੇਡਣ
ਤੇ ਬਰੂਦ ਫੂਕਣ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਬਣ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਉਲਟ ਹਨ ।ਬੀਤੇ
ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਥਿਤ ਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਡਿਉੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੌਮ
ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ
ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਉਥੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਇੰਕਸ਼ਾਫ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ
ਇਕੀਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ , ਇਸ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ
ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਾਂਚ ,ਬਾਣੀ ਬਾਣੇ ਦਾ
ਸਵੈਮਾਣ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਚੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਦਰਾਂ
ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਢਾਲਣਾ ਹੈ । ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ
ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਬਿਬੇਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਥ ਹੈ ,ਤਰਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਹੈ ,ਇਸਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ
ਅਹਿਮ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ । ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਂ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ
ਸੋਚਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਤੇ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਅ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ
ਜਾਵੇ । ਗਿਆਨੀ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਹਿ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਨਕਲ
ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਢਾਅ ਲਾਈ,ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਗ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ
ਵੱਡੀ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂੰਹ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ,ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸਭਾ ੁਸਾਇਟੀਆ ਤੇ
ਰਾਜਨੀਤਕ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂਮ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਦਾ
ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਖਦਿਆਂ ,ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਚੀਆਂ ਸੁਚੀਆਂ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ
ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ । ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰਨ ,ਨਾਮ
ਜਪਣ ਤੇ ਵੰਡ ਛੱਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ,ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ
ਨਹੀਂ ,ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਮੁਚੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੈ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ।ਇਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਮਦਮੀ
ਟਕਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਬਾਬਾ ਹਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ,ਕਥਾ ਵਾਚਕ ਗੌਹਰ-ਏ-ਮਸਕੀਨ ,ਗਿਆਨੀ
ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ,ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਗਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ
ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ।

expressed concern over drug addiction among the Sikh youth and the
use of unfair means during examinations in schools and colleges.
“Drugs, liquor and copying have become the main
hurdles in the progress of the Sikh community. We have always been a
community associated with hard work, progress and development, but
unfortunately these evils have taken hold of our youth,” the
jathedar said in his customary Diwali day or Bandhi Chhor Divas
message to the community from atop Darshani Deori.
He appealed to one and all, including parents, to
take steps to check drug addiction and liquor intake among their
children. On the use of unfair means in exams, the jathedar sought
to remind members of the community that such methods would not take
a youngster very far.
“It is unfortunate that Diwali has become
associated with drinking (liquor) and gambling. We are forgetting
that it is an important religious event for all,” he added.
Giani Gurbachan Singh regretted that due to lack
of proper guidance, particularly from parents and teachers, Sikh
youngsters were not being taught their mother tongue (Punjabi). “The
result is that children are not familiar with Sikh religion and
history and are being drawn away from their culture and customs, he
added.
“I appeal to all to make the use of Punjabi a
habit at home. Nameplates at homes and work places should also be in
the mother language. We must make it a habit to print marriage
invitation cards in Punjabi,” he added in his message.
He called for setting up more sporting facilities
in Punjab so as to prevent the youth from being hooked to drugs and
liquor. He also called for imparting quality education and taking
stern steps to check the use of unfair means in exams.

ਸਮਾਂ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਤੇ ਬਾਣੀ ਬਾਣੇ
ਦੇ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਅ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।

ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਖਦਿਆਂ, ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਚੀਆਂ ਸੁਚੀਆਂ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ
ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ।
